Simms/Power-Dutton-Brady Tournament -  Saturday January 18th, 2020 at SIMMS

You are  invited to attend the Simms/Power-Dutton-Brady speech and drama tournament at Simms!

Registration Deadline: Your registration must be completed on forensicstournament.net no later than Monday, January 6th. Add-ons will be accepted until Tuesday, January 15th.

Entry Fees: Entry fees will be $5.00 per student. A $5 team fee will also be charged. 

Registration will be in the main office from 7:30 - 8:15 AM. 

Rules: The MHSA handbook rules will be enforced. 

We will be using the January/February LD Topic

Events:  Oratory, memorized public address, informative speaking, humorous interp, dramatic interp, spontaneous interp, extemporaneous, impromptu, pantomime, classic theatre, humorous solo and duo, dramatic solo and duo, policy debate, and Lincoln-Douglas debate.

A few things to note:

• Light concessions will be available to students from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm with water, candy.  A $5 lunch will be available from our school cafeteria.  Our lunches are absolutely amazing--fresh, healthy, and come highly recommended by staff and students alike.  Please include lunch count on the Forensic tournaments site.  

• A hospitality room will be provided for coaches, judges, and drivers.

• The commons area will be in the gym; students should keep their belongings in there.

• Students may not enter a room without a judge present.

Extemp Draw-8:30

Round 1-9:00

Round 2-10:30

Rd 3-12:00

Finals-2:00

Awards will be held at 4:00 in the gym.
