2026 Tournament Invitation

Hello!

The Santa Rosa Junior College Forensics Speech, Debate and Performance Team invites you to the “2026 SRJC Forensics Speech and Debate Festival!” on Saturday, October 17, & Sunday, October 18, 2026, in Santa Rosa, CA, 50 miles north of San Francisco in beautiful Sonoma County wine country. 

• We offer 2 competition days in 11 AFA/Phi Rho Pi individual events. Both days have fun, games, and a Next Step Forensics Booth with transfer and graduate school opportunities.

• Day 1 offers a 4-preliminary round Lincoln-Douglas Debate Tournament, experimental events (Lip Sync Interpretation and Original Performance), an awards showcase (winners of select open individual events can perform 2 minutes), and a theme: SPACE FORENSICS! 

• Day 2 offers a 2-preliminary round IPDA Debate Tournament. 

Details are on ForensicsTournament.net (Day 1 and 2). Submit entries by Tuesday, October 13, at 11:59PM (PST), with adjustments by Thursday, October 15, at 6:00PM. We’re excited to host y’all in October!

Welcome to the 2026 SRJC Speech and Debate Festival!

Below are a few notes for the weekend, including morning warm-up rooms and IPDA Prep rooms (strike will be in Newman Auditorium):


A. ***DO NOT GO TO THE PETALUMA CAMPUS... go to the SANTA ROSA CAMPUS!

-Here is the address to our campus: 1501 Mendocino Ave, Santa Rosa, CA 95401.
-Newman Auditorium/Emeritus 1564 in Emeritus Hall will be the central location, off Elliott Ave.
-We have arranged FREE PARKING in the lot directly north of the Emeritus building.

B. WARM-UP ROOMS (1500s 1st Floor, 1600s 2nd Floor)

C. SUNDAY - IPDA PREP ROOM SPACES

To be used in preliminary IPDA rounds. Don’t leave your stuff.

D. FEE DISCOUNT REMINDERS:

EXPERIMENTAL EVENTS: Are FREE!, and will not count toward the judging requirement. By registration, any fees will be deducted.

F. FOR LIP SYNC INTERPRETATION

Make sure students have an internet accessible link (Youtube, googledrive, other) that they can set up as the round begins. In the classrooms there will be computers with internet access, volume, and a projection screen.
