On behalf of the University of Central Arkansas, the UCA School of Communication, and UCA Debate and Forensics, we invite you to our campus for the Fifteenth Annual End of Hi-BEAR-Nation Debate Tournament. In addition to our annual event, we are honored to also host the Team IPDA National Championship alongside our regular tournament. Please read the tournament invitation carefully, as some of our normal tournament protocols will change for this tournament. We hope that you will be able to join us in person on March 10-12, 2023, for a weekend of IPDA Debate.

Please note that all entries for the Team IPDA National Championship Tournament must have enrollment verifications (posted here in FTN and on the IPDA Website) submitted in advance of the tournament. For more information, please contact Joe Ganakos at jganakos@lee.edu.

Update (3/6/2023): We were hoping to get an early start on Friday. Unfortunately, there are more things happening on campus on Friday afternoon than normal. Therefore, we have to adjust the Friday schedule of our tournament.

Because of the number of classes taking place on Friday, everyone will be prepping in the College of Business auditorium for the first two Team IPDA rounds. After those rounds, there will be a thirty-minute break to give everyone time to move to our traditional prep areas for the rest of the tournament. There are very few power outlets in the auditorium, so please come with your devices fully charged.

Adjusted Friday Schedule:

11:30 - Registration

12:30 - Team Rd. 1

2:00 - Team Rd. 2

3:15 - Break (move out of the auditorium to the classrooms for prep)

3:45 - Team Rd. 3

5:15 - Team Rd. 4

6:45 - Team Rd. 5

8:45 - Team Octafinals
