Welcome to "The Sir,"

Carroll's Teaching Tournament

Carroll College invites you to the 9th annual Montana BP Teaching Tournament.

The emphasis is teaching, not competition – though we offer a low-key four-round tournament (breaking to two finals, Open and Novice). We offer advanced lectures by Marlene Pierce, who trophied at the world championships and has been chosen to head the Fall National Tournament. But her biggest achievement, by far, was winning the 2015 Teaching Tournament at Carroll. Whoop!

Marlene debated for Northwest University in Seattle. Carroll alum Megan Towles will host the Friday night virtual showcase debate. Megan and Chris Axtman-Barker reached national BP finals in 2013.

We offer “Brent for Beginners” workshop to send tentative newcomers into the tournament with confidence and excitement. I love working with the beginners. And Brent will keep in touch afterwards as a resource and secret consultant. Once I teach you, I am yours forever. Unlimited warranty.
