Highland Community College & College of Lake County jointly invite you to join us for the 2024 Wenzel-Soller Tournament on Saturday, November 16!
FULL INVITATION HERE
Dear Forensics Friends and Colleagues,
The Highland Community College and College of Lake County speech and debate teams are excited to invite you to attend the newly-named Wenzel-Soller Tournament in-person on the Highland Community College campus on Saturday, November 16, 2024. This tournament will be an individual events only tournament, but our friends at the Lincoln Parliamentary Debate League (LPDL) are working on offering a corresponding debate tournament on Friday, November 15 for those interested.
This tournament, co-hosted by HCC and CLC, is named after three important figures in our respective program histories: Alan Wenzel (of Highland) and Rick Soller and Nedra Adams-Soller (of CLC). We can think of no better way to honor their legacies than by celebrating student voices. We are thrilled to welcome returning students back and to cheer new students along as they begin their forensics experiences this season.
This is a community college tournament – any community college student or any four-year university student in their first four semesters of competition is eligible to compete.
Entries are due on forensicstournament.net no later than Tuesday, November 12 at 7:00 PM CST. Information on rules, fees, registration, schedule, etc. can be found below. We look forward to hosting you and your team in November! Please do not hesitate to contact Harry (CLC) or Kevyn (HCC) with any questions!
