 Invites you to the 2022 Shelby Invitational Meet!

Registration

Priority registration will be extended to Northeren B/C schools at this time.

Please check-in at the high school office between 7:30-8:30.

Each school may have a maximum of three entries in each event.

All events will abide by guidelines outlined in the MHSA Handbook.

Public Forum Debate Topic will be the December topic

Lincoln-Douglas (December Topic):

Resolved: A just government ought to recognize an unconditional right of workers to strike.

Policy Debate:

Resolved: The United States federal government should substantially increase its protection of water resources in the United States.

Extemp Topics:

January

Meals

Breakfast & Lunch will be provided for all judges, coaches, & bus drivers in the HS hospitality room. 

Concessions will be available all day.

Competition:

There will be three preliminary rounds and finals.

Round 1 - 9:00

Round 2 - 10:30

Round 3 - 12:00

Finals - 2:00

Awards will be in the auditorium as soon as possible after finals

Extemp draw & Debate will go 30 minutes prior to each round.

The student common area will be in the multi-purpose room in the High School.

All events will be held in the High School and Vo-ag buildings.

Conduct:

All students are to maintain a standard of conduct that reflects positively on their home school and community, as well as the host school and community.
