A Minute to Win It

A tournament for 60 second debates.

Three topics will be provided.  The negative strikes, affirmative strikes, and the remaining topic will be the topic for the debate.

Each debater will have 60 seconds to prepare.  The speeches will then all be 60 seconds long in the following order: Aff, Neg, Aff, Neg.

Judges will decide a winner and give speaker points to each competitor from 70-100.  

Due to the unpredictable nature of the Internet, we require each contestant to be 18 years of age or older.

Best Practices

• Please leave your video on during the round but mute your audio.
• Headsets/Mics work best for audio quality but are not needed
• Slow Internet speeds cause problems. Test your internet speed on SpeakEasy   Anything less than 6 mbps upload/download will cause video/audio problems.
• Judges should try and type out feedback while the speaker is presenting - but don't worry too much about feedback, this is just for fun!

Round 1 - 10:00 p.m. PST

Round 2 - 10:30 p.m. PST

Final Round - 10:50p.m. PST
