NOTE: PARLI COMPETITORS AND JUDGES SHOULD REPORT TO THEIR 8x8 COMPETITION ROOM FOR STRIKE

 

ENTRY FEES:

Membership Fees (Yearly, required of all schools who attend at least one tournament):
$110 – Founders Level Membership *
$50 – Regular Membership
*Founders Level Membership provides funds to the organization which may be
needed to offset anticipated costs of securing online services, hired judges, and so on. At the end of the season, any unused money paid specifically as part of “Founders Level Membership Fees” (above and beyond the “Regular Membership” fee) will be returned to the schools holding this level of membership in equal shares. All other funds held or collected by the LPDL will remain part of the LPDL treasury.

Tournament Entry Fees:
$5 – Each participant in a workshop/scrimmage
$10 – Each covered team (IPDA or Parli) entered into the tournament (each judge covers 2 teams)
$50 – Each uncovered team entered into the tournament (note: a full team fee is charged for Maverick parli teams, while a half-fee is charged for each member of a hybrid parli team)

Financial Hardship Waiver:
Programs facing significant budget restrictions may discuss a financial hardship membership and/or entry fee waiver with a member of the LPDL board.

Noon – Round One 
1:15PM- Round Two
2:30PM- Round Three
3:45PM- Round Four
5:15PM- Final Round

ADDITIONAL NOTES:

-Group Prep is PROHIBITED in both Parliamentary Debate and IPDA. No coaches or teammates (other than Parli partners) may be consulted during prep.

-Students are encouraged to ask for judging paradigms in both Parliamentary Debate and (especially given the wide range of paradigms in the event) IPDA. Judges are asked to provide paradigms when asked regardless of debate format.
