Speech/Debate Colleagues, 

You and your squad are cordially invited to attend the “Almost Crystal Clear” Novice IPDA Tournament at Morton College, to be held on October 10th 2025 on our beautiful campus in Cicero, IL. We will offer a four round Novice IPDA tournament with one elimination round (rank placement) for all winning record participants. We also have a very simple fee structure: $20 for covered entries (1 judge covers 2) with $50 for uncovered entries. Your entry fee will include hearty snacks, beverages, and great awards for your winning scholars.

Almost Crystal Clear’s definition of “novice” is any student with less than eight debate tournaments experience, high school or college. Your non qualified squad members are more than welcome to judge. 

Last year was our first year hosting and it was a success. Each round started on time and we were done by 7:30pm. If we haven’t had a chance to meet, rest assured I am committed to hosting an efficient debate competition in a safe, friendly environment.
