SATURDAY TOURNAMENT

LUNCH IS ON YOUR OWN!

We have partnered with some local businesses downtown and the following businesses have offered a 10% discount to everyone at the tournament. NOTE: You must grab a voucher from the Admission's desk on first floor of the Abraham Campus Center in order to recieve the discount.

    • This family owned pizza shop is laid-back and serves great food! They are cash only though!

  • Bowl House $

    • This is literally a hole in the wall Asian Fusion restaurant. They serve great ramen, noodles, and teriyaki.

  • Chain restaurants near by (all within a mile or so)

    • Subway

    • Rubios

    • Jersey Mikes

    • Taco Bell

    • Del Taco

 

Rooms

-Tournament HQ will be in the Abraham Campus Center (ACC)!

-Competition Rounds on Saturday will be primarily in Landis Academic Center, College of Business (CBPM), Founders Hall, Miller Hall, Hoover. On Sunday it will also include Barkley, Leo Hall, and Arts and Communications Building. Here is a Campus Map and below are locations of important rooms for the tournament.

-Judges Room: ACC 205

-Tab Room: ACC 206

-Extemp Draw: Quay Davis Board Room

-Parli Strike: La Fetra Lecture Hall

 

WIFI

Please follow the instructions below to access wifi. A more detailed step by step can be found here.

1. Select University of La Verne Wireless

2. Open a web browser on your laptop or mobile device and go to a website. Click on the link right below the "Sign On" button to start creatring your guest account as shown below.

3. Enter your information below and make sure to read and agress to the terms and conditions. When you click on the terms and conditions link, a new browser tab will appear. 

4. You will be provided with temproary guest account credentiaols which is valid for up to 12 hours.

 

Student Sign-In

Students entered in debate events will be required to sign-in between 9:15 and 9:45 AM both on Saturday and Sunday on the first floor of the Abraham Campus Center. 

-Parli partners are NOT permitted to sign in for each other.

-Students competing in IEs do not need to sign in.

 

Parking

The following parking lots and structure are the best places to park. They are highlighted on the map below. 

-No residential parking! We also share the same spaces as residential areas, so do not park where there are residential signs.

-Parking Structure: Off of Arrow Hwy and D. St.

-Parking Lot F: Off of Bonita Ave and C St.

-Parking Lot B: Off of B St. and 3rd St.

Each vehicle will need to pay for parking. It is $7 for the entire day. You will see these QR codes in each parking lot. Scan the QR code and complete the instructions. You will not need something to put anything on your dashboard, it is done by license plates.
