<p><strong>49th ANNUAL</strong></p> <p><strong>TRAPPER RENDEZVOUS FORENSIC TOURNAMENT</strong></p> <p>Dear Colleague:</p> <p>The Northwest College Forensics Program and the Charlotte Patrick Speech and Debate Society extends to you a cordial invitation to attend the <strong>49th ANNUAL TRAPPER RENDEZVOUS FORENSICS TOURNAMENT</strong> to be held in Powell, Wyoming, on September 21-22, 2018. This is a different date than in the past, and we hope that this new date will allow more of you to attend. Our goal is to provide good competition at a reasonable price and in a reasonable amount of time.</p> <p>Please note that this year we will utilize a centralized topic announcement process, with topic being announced in the second-floor lounge area of the Yellowstone Building. Additionally, please note that NWC operates a closed tab room.</p> <p>The 2018 Rendezvous will feature: 6 preliminary and 2-4 elimination rounds (depending on entries) in three divisions of parliamentary debate and one division of IPDA. PLEASE NOTE: S<em>tudents will not be able to enter both IPDA and Parliamentary Debate.</em> Should the need arise we reserve the right to collapse divisions in parliamentary debate. In addition, the Rendezvous will feature two preliminary rounds and two elimination rounds in one open division for eleven individual events. Please note that all individual events will follow NIET rules and format.</p> <p>This year we also offer an open division of British Parliamentary Debate, facilitated by Brent Northup from Carroll College.</p> <p>This invitation includes a copy of the regulations, a schedule of events, and contact information. A motel list for Powell and Cody is included, and we encourage you to make early reservations. The tournament entry should be received no later than <strong>Tuesday, September 18</strong>.
