<p>Welcome to the TJ Invitational! Previously we were using the UW Tacoma campus but have opted for our own campus this year. We are&nbsp;a speech only tournament that will start at 9am and be done by 4pm. There will be three preliminary rounds and finals at the open level in all 8 state events (Duo, DI, HI, IR, Expos, Oratory, Impromptu, Extemp) and two non-traditional events (Spar, Spoken Word Poetry). Although Spin was a tournament favorite event it is extremely difficult to set up so we have decided to try Spoken Word Poetry instead this year.&nbsp; For clarification on how we will run Spar and Spoken Word please look at the attached ballots.</p> <p>NIETOC: For the fourth consecutive year TJ has been selected as a NIETOC qualifier in HI, DI, Duo, and Oratory. We typically get over 20 schools and 20 competitors in each NIETOC event so there will be plenty of bids available.</p> <p>Ballot distribution will be Minnesota style this year.
