The SCJFL has published a best practices guide for all online tournaments.  This guide will be published on the tournament registration page as well as our league website.  Please check both locations to ensure that you have the most recent version.  Because virtual tournaments require us to adapt and change our previous practices, please be patient with us as we refine the process.

Requirements:

For Internet safety reasons, all minors are required to have an adult present on-screen during the round(s).  Failure to have an adult present and visible may result in disqualification.

Fees:

$10 per individual entry (Duo is $20)

Please make checks payable to “Wilshire Academy”.   Alternatively, you may pay through PayPal or Venmo, using the following accounts:

Venmo: Alex Jung (HongJoon-Jung)

PayPal: jung.wilshireacademy@gmail.com

Judge fee: $20 per uncovered slot (see more explanation below)

Changes or drops after Wednesday April 8, 2020 at 12:00 pm will be charged a $10 nuisance fee for each change or drop.  Changes on the day of the tournament will be charged a $20 nuisance fee for each change or drop.  No-show fees for competitors or judges will be charged a $50 fee.

League Fees:

Teams that have not paid league fees, previous tournament fees, given proof of insurance, or signed up a tab staff volunteer will not be eligible for this tournament.  Please contact league treasurer Stella Gu to bring your account current: sguus68@gmail.com.

Judging Requirements:

Each participating school or organization is being asked to supply 1 judge per 5 entries. Each school should update their judge roster so that each judge has a registered e-mail or cell phone number to send eBallots.  When using eBallots, judges should use laptops or desktops if possible. $20 per uncovered slot (if a team has 7 events/slots and only one judge, the judge would cover 5 of their slots, leaving 2 slots uncovered.  Since the fee is $20 per uncovered slot, the judge fee would be $40.  If no judge were provided, the fee would be $140).

Please remember that judge training is the responsibility of the school entering that judge.  As per the league by-laws, teams who provide untrained judges can be charged penalty fees.
