Lincoln-Douglas Debate 2020 November/December Topic

Resolved: The United States ought to provide a federal jobs guarantee.


Policy Debate: ResolvedResolved: The United States federal government should enact substantial criminal justice reform in the United States in one or more of the following: forensic science, policing, sentencing.


Public Forum Debate – 2020 November/December

Resolved: The United States should adopt a declaratory nuclear policy of no first use.

Big Questions: Resolved: Mathematics was discovered, not invented.

Fees:
$10 per student entry (Public Forum & Policy are $20, Worlds is $30)
Please note that payment for this tournament must be made through the TOURNAMENT FEES tab on the left side of the registration page (see screenshot below).  The tournament will not accept checks or payments through Venmo or Zelle.
Changes or drops after Tues. December 1st, 2020 at 5pm, PST will be charged a $10 nuisance fee.
$20/$75 uncovered judge fee (see below).

Judging Requirements:
Each participating school or organization is being asked to supply 1 judge per 2 entries for Debate and 1 judge for every 7 entries in Congress. Judging names and cell phone numbers should be submitted at the time of registration. If you need to register judges but don’t know their names yet, please use your school name with a number to indicate the judges you will be providing (i.e. Nova judge 1; Nova judge 2; etc.). $20 uncovered judge fee for Congress.  $75 uncovered judge fee for Debate. 
Hired that do not conflict with any team/school should be noted so that they can be used as a clean judge for all competitors.

League Fees:
Teams will need to pay league fees, give proof of insurance, and signed up a tab staff volunteer for future tournaments or they will not be eligible for this tournament.  Please contact league treasurer Stella Gu to bring your account current: sguus68@gmail.com.
