Greetings!
On Saturday April 27th, 2019 Orange Coast College will be hosting the 2019 SCJFL tournament. We hope your school or organization will join us.

Pattern A:
Big Questions (morning only): Resolved: Humans are primarily driven by self-interest.
Pattern B:
Congress (may not double enter any other event in pattern B - please submit bills to robert@CannonballofDeath.com by April 3rd, 2019.
Duet Acting (5 min.)

Sight Reading (time determined by literature)

Judging Requirements:
Each participating school or organization is being asked to supply 1 judge per 2 entries for
debate. Congress requires a school to provide 1 judge for every 5 entries. Judging names should
be submitted at the time of registration. If you need to register judges but don’t know their names
yet, please use your school name with a number to indicate the judges you will be providing (i.e.
Wilshire judge 1; Wilshire judge 2; etc.). A charge of $50 per absent judge will be applied for
schools who do not provide enough judges to cover their entries (or fraction thereof).
Fees:
$10 per student
Please make checks payable to “Orange Coast College Forensics”.
Changes or drops after Wednesday March 27th, 2019 at 6pm will be charged a $10 nuisance fee
per change.
Postings:
Postings will be on the first floor of the Literature and languages building.
Judges and coaches should report to Literature and Language Room 117

Food:
There are loads of food options within a mile or two of campus and you can always eat at the taco trucks that are present at the swap meet.
Parking. Please park in lot E. The Adams lot will have the swap meet going on and there will be no parking available. Lot E is the detonated on this map with a large red star. And the line will be the fastest way to walk to the Lit Lang Building where we will be hosting the majority of the tournament
