Online Summer Classic
Saturday, August 23 · Open to Adults Nationwide
Ready to test your voice, sharpen your skills, and compete against passionate speakers and debaters from around the country? The Online Summer Classic is your chance to do just that—from the comfort of your own home.
Whether you're a seasoned speaker or brand new to competition, this fully online tournament offers a supportive and challenging space for adult competitors (18+) to grow, perform, and win.
Events Offered
Choose from four dynamic events designed for real-world communication and quick-thinking performance:

Prepared Speech – 10-minute persuasive, informative, or original oratory

Prepared Acting – 10-minute dramatic or literary performance (memorized, props allowed)

Spontaneous Speech – 7-minute impromptu response to a prompt (minimal prep)
-
Spontaneous Debate – Quick, 1-on-1 debates with rotating topics (SPAR-style)
Divisions
We offer two levels of competition to meet you where you are:

Development Division – For beginners and growing speakers

Professional Division – For experienced competitors (includes cash prizes for top performers)

Note: If participation numbers are low, divisions may be combined in preliminary rounds. But we’ll still recognize top Development competitors during awards!
Entry & Judging

$40 per event – Flat fee includes entry and judging

No judge needed from you—just focus on competing

All rounds judged by experienced and vetted professionals
Tournament Schedule (Pacific Time)

9:00 AM – Round 1

10:30 AM – Round 2

12:30 PM – Final Round

2:30 PM – Awards Ceremony (Livestreamed on YouTube)
