Welcome to the PHC Debate Intramural! 

This event runs parallel to other cross-examination debate devents within the Civic Debate Conference.  The PHC Invitational gives our college's newest students an opportunity to compete on the topic of the Social Justice Debate series (managed by Morehouse College). 

The topic is: "The adoption of a mandatory racial desegregation policy for K-12 public schools is desirable."

For those unfamiliar with the cross-examination debate format commonly used for Civic Debate events, the speaking order is:

1st Affirmative Speaker: 6 minutes

Cross examination by 2nd Negative Speaker: 4 minutes

1st Negative Speaker: 6 minutes

Cross examination by 1st Affirmative Speaker: 4 minutes

2nd Affirmative Speaker: 6 minutes

Cross examination by 1st Negative Speaker: 4 minutes

2nd Negative Speaker: 6 minutes

Cross examination by 2nd Affirmative speaker: 4 minutes

Preparation time: 2 minutes

Affirmative Rebuttal: 6 minutes
