Welcome to the home page for the 2024 OIFA State Championship Tournament tournament hosted by Tulsa Community College on Feb 23-24, 2024 for College students.

Status: Adds, changes, or drops for existing schools only (No new schools)

Welcome to the Oklahoma Intercollegiate Forensics Association State Championship Tournament Home page. We are excited to be bringing this open tournament to Tulsa Community College for the second year where the event will be hosted on the Tulsa Community College Southeast Campus. We are going to be hosting Full Comprehensive Tournament with 4 Divisions of IPDA on Friday and a Full 11 event IE tournament on Saturday that is open to any college/university/ professional IPDA debater that wants to enter the event. This event is open to all schools who are interested in regestering for the event.

OIFA does ask each team considering attending to please bring judges to cover their entry. Judges are hard to come by and OIFA does not have the depth of funds to spend to hire judges from around Oklahoma. We need your help in bringing your judges for the tournament.

We are going to run a tight schedule to get you in and out of the event as fast as possible. What this means is that we are going to provide food for the tournament for four meals; Lunch and Dinner on Friday and Breakfast and Lunch on Saturday for $25 per student entered in the event. If this is something that you need a broken down cost sheet for your institution, we will be more than happy to help you. OIFA as an organization is going to cater breakfast for you Friday Morning and make sure that students, judges, and coaches have coffee that is hot and ready. We want you to have the easiest time navigating this event and we want to take care of you as much as possible.

The Southeast Campus is Located at 10300 E 81st St Tulsa OK. There are probably 15-20 hotels near the campus, including two that boarder the campus. Unfortunately, TCC cannot work with a specific hotel to gurantee room blocks or rates. We recommend staying at most of these hotels as there are tons of hotels to fit your teams budget. We have two Starbucks within a mile of campus, three steak houses, four burger joints, three seafood, and most fastfood that your team could desire within 1 mile of campus.

Finally, we are going to have some fun awards at this event for you. We are going to offer standard awards (top 3 debate, individual events, comprehensive and top 4 pentath competitors) plus Top Community College, Oklahoma Coach of the year, Oklahoma Forensicator of the Year, and Top Novice Competitor.  So make sure that you come to Tulsa February 23-24, 2024 to bring home lots of trophies.

Sincerely,

John Mikolajcik
