2019 Missouri Mule / Dale Carnegie Swing

Welcome to the home page of the Missouri Mule / Dale Carnegie Swing Speech & Debate Tournament, which will be hosted on the campus of the University of Central Missouri on the weekend of October 18-20, 2019 in Warrensburg, Missouri.

The Mule will offer fierce competition in Open & Novice Divisions of NPDA (Parli), an Open Division in Public Forum, and Open, Junior, and Novice Divisions of NFA-LD. We also offer outstanding competition in all 11 AFA-NIET recognized individual events. All competition is offered over a two day (Friday-Saturday) schedule with appropriate out rounds.

The Carnegie Swing (linked to this tournament page) will offer competition in NFA-LD and all 11 individual events on Sunday,

An invitation outlining deadlines and hotel information and a copy of the tournament regulations & policies is linked. We have changed the definition of Novice for debate, added Top Novice awards for the individual events, made minor modifications to the conflict patterns, and included new policies supporting the NFA and Pi Kappa Delta in their commitment to providing a safe competitive space and mutual respect for all. So those of you who are regular attendees may want to carefully peruse the new documents.

Our coaching staff looks forward to welcoming you to our city, campus, and tournament. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me at Rogers@ucmo.edu or (660) 543-8646.

See you in October.
