Welcome to the home page for the 2021 Trapper Rendezvous for High Schools tournament hosted by Northwest College on Jan 8-9, 2021 for High School students.

Status: Tournament Completed

Dear Colleague:

The NWC Forensics staff and students extend you a cordial invitation to attend the 50th Annual Trapper Rendezvous Forensics Tournament for High Schools

This year the Trapper Rendezvous will be a virtual tournament. The tournament will be administered using forensicstournament.net, which is integrated with “8x8” video competition software. Coaches will need to include an email or phone number for each coach, student, and accompanying judge when they are registered so that students and judges can receive links to their rounds. Please read the information available at https://forensicstournament.net/online in order to familiarize yourself with the special requirements of virtual tournaments.

Because of the need for judges for this tournament, this year we will require all schools to “cover their entry.” This means if you have an entry in an event category, you must provide a judge for that category. Each school must provide at least one judge for every two CX teams, one judge for every four LD and PF entries, and one judge for every 12 IE entries.

Because this is an online tournament, slow internet speeds can cause issues for speakers, judges, and tournament staff. Test your internet speed on https://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/ Anything less than 6 mbps upload/download will cause video/audio problems.

The tournament will use synchronous video conferencing. Please see the Best Practices Document for tips on how to effectively use the platform.
