Welcome to the home page for the 2023 Concordia PoFo Invitational tournament hosted by Concordia University Irvine on May 20-3, 2023 for High School students.

Dear Debaters,
PLEASE READ THIS WHOLE DOCUMENT -- it contains very important information.
Most importantly, if you have not yet verified your email address, you need to do that NOW! An email was sent to each of you. To do this, simply click the "Verify Email" link. Email is important because this is how you will receive the information for each debate AND the only way that you can receive your ballots after the debate.
There will be 4 four total rounds. There are 13 folks debating, 6 from HMDC, 3 from IVC, and 4 from Scarlet. Times for the debates are as follows:
-- Affirmative Constructive: 6 minutes
-- Affirmative Constructive: 6 minutes
-- Cross Examination Period: 3 minutes
-- Negative Constructive: 7 minutes
-- Cross Examination Period: 3 minutes
-- 1st Affirmative Rebuttal: 4 minutes-- Negative Rebuttal: 6 minutes
-- 2nd Affirmative Rebuttal: 3 minutes
-- Preparation Time: 4 minutes
Please meet at 4:30 pm Pacific // 7:30 am China in the tournament "Help Room." The link is VERY simple: https://8x8.vc/HMDC. This way, we can make sure everyone's technology is working properly. After the conclusion of the 4th round, we will ALSO meet in the same video room for a brief announcement of results.
Postings will be communicated via email. It will contain your room link, the name of your opponent, and the name of the judge. If you have any questions about this, please join the Help Room.
