Change from the original invitation: NPDA will have a mass topic announce in the Student Center, not in individual rooms.
We are following PSCFA (Pacific Southwest Collegiate Forensics Association) rules that were recently established ( 9/7/2025) These rules will be followed at Fall Champs, so this is a good place to start practicing them.
1. NPDA NO coaching allowed.
2. NPDA no "flex time". Utilize "points of information" during constructive speeches. First minute and last are protected. POI's not allowed during rebuttals, only points of order.
Times are: PM 7 minutes, LO 8 minutes, MG 8 minutes, MO 8 minutes,
LOR: 4 minutes, PMR: 5 minutes.
3. Rate of Speech in Debate: Rate of speech in debate rounds should not have a deleterious impact on other students ability to engage in the activity. Violations of this principle may result in the loss of the round in which the violation occurs.
IPDA Guideline reminders:
1. Coaching is allowed
2. You are not allowed to use cell phones for timing or any other purpose when in the round.
