<p> Welcome to the 2011 Gig Harbor HS Invitational! The annual kick off for speech and debate in the Puget Sound Area!</p> <p> Last year, we set records for the size of the tournament, and we are preparing for another big turnout. In order to accomodate such large entries, we have made two slight changes to the tournament.</p> <p> 1. We will offer novice and junior Public Forum debate this year and not open. This change was made because of room constraints and to reflect the original goal of this tournament which is to get novice and other young competitors going on the season.</p> <p> 2. <strong>We will run pattern B IEs in the morning and Pattern A in the afternoon. </strong>The primary motivation for this is that it should make extemp run much more smoothely, but it also means that our largest event, novice Impromptu, will be earlier in the day. This should make it easier for us to run awards on time.</p> <p> &nbsp;</p>
