<p> We are pleased to invite you the 2011 Gig Harbor Speechfest! We have made a few changes to the tournament this year, although we have kept our fees the same!</p> <p> Unfortunately, due to time constraints, we will not be offering Public Forum debate this year, but we have replaced it with Spontaneous Argumentation, to give students who desire a debate experience the chance to try out a new form of debate. We will be following the rules used by Stanford University for this event, so please read the document containing the rules and format closely!</p> <p> We will also continue to offer Storybook reading, Original poetry and Extemporaneous Interpretation as unique events. Each of these is 5 minutes long and do not need to be memorized.&nbsp;</p> <p> Finally, we will offer all the &quot;usual&quot; individual events except for Extemp and also at least one house of Congressional Debate.&nbsp;</p> <p> We look forward to seeing you on the 15th!</p>
