The Southwest Baptist University forensics program invites you to the Bob R. Derryberry Forensics Classic to be held on the campus of Southwest Baptist University on September 25 & 26. We invite you to come to lovely Bolivar, MO for two days of strong competition.    

Our tournament will offer four preliminary rounds of College International Public Debate Association (IPDA) on Friday and all 11 standard AFA individual events on Saturday. While we are not offering all of the events from the recent past, we hope you will still make plans to attend. Our judging pool was very small last year, so I am making adjustments to help ensure a successful tournament.

Our tournament offers several nice amenities including...    

•       A humane competition schedule on both Friday and Saturday.       

•       A relatively compact campus—no competition building is more than a brisk five-minute walk from our tournament hub.                

•       Many hotel accommodations in the Bolivar/Springfield area.         

•       A nice selection of local eateries! (For a small town in Missouri anyway!)                                

•       Nice trophies!
