Debate Sign-in: Each individual debater must sign-in with the help room before the end of the registration period (8:30-9:00am). Students who don’t sign-in will be dropped from the tournament.

Sign-in procedure: Go to the help room, type your name, school, division, and event into the chat. Once a member of the help room staff tells you they have checked you in you are all set!

Important Notes: 

* Double entry is not permitted at the Cool-Off 

Novice and rookie definitions for this tournament.

A. Rookie
A student with no previous competitive experience in debate or individual events at any level.
B. Novice
1. Novice Debate: A team comprised of debaters, neither of whom has
participated in more than two semesters of debate and/or participated in elimination rounds at three or more debate tournaments or won any medal at CCCFA or Phi Rho Pi or won an elimination round award at the NPDA, CEDA or NDT National Championship Tournaments or any national championship tournament
2. Novice Individual Event: A student who has not won a trophy (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) in an event in which a final round occurs or a Gold /Silver/Bronze at CCCFA or Phi Rho Pi. (Readers Theatre and Oral Interpretation shall be considered similar events)
