Extemp prep and topics will be in AB 106. The first speaker will draw at the round start time printed in the schedule.

Please remind your judges that double entry in Impromptu means that some speakers will arrive to speak in the first 30 minutes of the time slot and need to speak and go to their IPDA topic strike. Others will arrive after the debate (approx 60 minutes after the start of the round). Judges should stay for all speakers in IMP, even if they didn't sign in.

Additionally, I have noticed quite a few E-ballots recently where the comments on the ballot and/or the rankings didn't match up with the speaker. I am not sure how to make sure that judges evaluate the right speaker with double entry and changing order (in extemp). Perhaps having judges write the order the participants actually spoke (witht their code and topic) on a piece of paper would help to verify that decisions are entered accurately. Please help us to get accurate feedback and results from rounds.

If you have needs that are not met by the tournament, please reach out to Phil to discuss possible accomodations. If you experience concerns with discrimination/equity please reach out so that our ombuds team (Ben K and Kaylee T) can assist you. Students who are seeking peer support can contact Hannah Branch.
