Checks must be made out to One OC.</strong></p> <p><strong>The Argumentation and Communication Leadership Academy and Robert Heideman Elementary School are proud to present our appreciation tournament at Heideman Elementary School in Tustin. </strong></p> <p><strong>The theme of this tournament is &ldquo;Ready to Learn.&rdquo; At this tournament, students will explore how they are in charge of their education and must have a &ldquo;Ready to Learn&rdquo; mindset. </strong></p> <p><strong>This tournament will have events for elementary school only. The ACLA Heideman Roadrunner Invitational is only for programs and schools who have donated to ACLA and is in appreciation of their support. Thank you!</strong></p> <p><strong>Address: 15571 Williams St, Tustin, CA 92780</strong></p> <p><strong>Payment</strong></p> <p>$25 per pattern</p> <p>Registration will open April 25 and close May 16 at 5 PM. Fees will be frozen on May 16. All changes required after May 16 will need to be emailed directly to the tournament director (wwashington@aclacademy.org). Students can be added after May 16 for an increased price ($30 per pattern). If a drop is needed after May 17, a $15 penalty per drop will be assessed to the school due the day of the tournament. Payment is due electronically by May 17 5:00 PM. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>All Interp events, Informative, and Original Oratory will have a 30 second grace period. This means that judges should not lower the competitor&rsquo;s score as long as they do not go over the grace period.</p> <p>We will offer 3 rounds of Pattern A and 3 rounds of Pattern B. This tournament will not have out-rounds.</p> <p>Awards: The top 5 students in each category will receive trophies and, depending on the number of entries, medals will be awarded to other top ranking competitors. Events with less than 3 entries will be cancelled or collapsed. If cancelled, a refund will be issued at the tournament.</p> <p>There will be an award for the top overall students. This top honor award will be calculated based on rankings from Pattern A,B, and C events.</p>
