<p>Las Positas College invites you to the 7th Annual Talk Hawk Invitational scheduled to be held at Las Positas College<br /> in Livermore, California on Saturday, January 31st 2015 where we will feature a full day of Individual Event activity.<br /> We will be offering Novice and Open level competition.</p> <p>This Years tournament will be <strong>HARRY POTTER </strong>themed. We will also be offering the same unique twists.</p> <p>First and foremost, all interpretation events will be <strong>book optional</strong> where judges are not to penalize students<br /> for performing without a script in hand.<br /> The <strong>1st Place Open Winners in each event will win a cash payout</strong>. The exact amount of the payout will be<br /> dependent upon tournament and entry size. In some years 1st place winners received $120! Are you sure you<br /> want to &ldquo;rest&rdquo; your best events?!<br /> There will be a Supplemental Event at this year&rsquo;s tournament: <strong>Impromptu Potter Predicaments</strong>. A prompt listing<br /> a setting, character, and item will be given. A total time of 6 minutes will be allotted, for prep and speaking.<br /> See Event Descriptions for specific details.<br /> Contestants in the final round of Duo Interpretation will be permitted to adorn any thematic attire desirable<br /> (Translation: they&rsquo;re allowed to wear costumes!).</p>
