<p>The Cerritos College Falcon Forensics squad is pleased to invite you to attend the annual Tabor-Venitsky Invitational Speech and Debate Tournament to be held on Friday and Saturday, February 14 and 15, 2014. Once again, this year we will be working in conjunction with an outstanding tab room staff to provide you with an exciting tournament.</p>

<p> We would also like to invite you to the Southern California LD Championships - a one day NFA-LD and Parli LD swing tournament to be held on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Cerritos College. The Championships will offer four rounds of LD competition for your competitors in open division only. We will follow NFA rules the event breaking to appropriate elimination rounds. <em><strong>Parli LD will follow the same rules as at CCCFA.</strong></em> There will be 3 strikes, no group prep, and no coach prep. This tournament has no restrictions on eligibility –both 2 and 4 year students are welcome.</p>

<p>The Tabor-Venitsky traditionally provides a competitive preview of the PSCFA Spring Championships, CCCFA State Championship, as well as Phi Rho Pi.</p>
<p>We hope you will join us once again. For the Tabor-Venitsky we will offer four rounds of Parliamentary debate breaking to a bronze/gold elimination round format on Friday and three rounds of Individual Events breaking to finals on Saturday. Each day will feature a quick awards ceremony. Students may enter a maximum of two IE events per pattern. We will offer two divisions in parliamentary debate and individual events. Please review page 4 for novice eligibility. <strong><em>The open division in both debate and individual events will be limited to community college students only with remaining CCCFA and/or Phi Rho Pi eligibility.</em></strong> <strong>Tabor Venitsky follows Phi Rho Pi rules for parliamenary debate. Only a dictionary and almanac may be used during preparation, students may not consult anyone but their partner during prep time, and the three strike rule will be followed. </strong></p>

<p>Please submit your entries on www.forensicstournament.net . The website will be active January 14, 2014. All entries must be submitted by Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at 6:00pm PST. Fees will be assessed on Wednesday February 12, 2014 at 6:00pm and adds will be accepted at the tournament director’s discretion after that time. However, please call/email with drops through Friday to assist in paneling. We are excited about hosting the Tabor-Venitsky and the Southern California LD Championships and look forward to seeing you there.</p>

<p>Please note that the Western States forensics tournament will be held on the same weekend at CSULB.</p>
